Michael Brown is an experienced financial advisor with deep roots in the Wilmington community. He moved here over 30 years ago to begin his career in the financial services industry with Wachovia, a predecessor of Wells Fargo Bank. After sixteen years in wealth management and investment planning with First Citizens Bank, he was recruited to join The Murchison Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in 2019.

Michael’s investment planning expertise provides useful perspective in helping families and business owners plan and prepare for retirement. He takes pride in establishing lasting relationships with clients and providing the confidence that comes from having a sound financial strategy that is customized to meet each individual’s goals and objectives.

Michael plays an active role in strengthening our community. He serves on the board of directors of She ROCKS, and he previously served on the boards for Lower Cape Fear Life Care, and the Wilmington Rotary Club Foundation. Michael is an active volunteer for the Blue Ribbon Run. Michael is a 1990 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

He lives in Wilmington, North Carolina, with his daughters, Emma, Julia, and Katherine; his son Ethan; and his wife Ana.
